Just a real quick post because I went on the nicest run last night with my running club. First, it was great to catch up with some other runners from Sunday and compare our midgy bites. Then we took off into the countryside for 10 undulating kilometers around fields and through woods.
It was overcast, but a gorgeous 16 degrees with comfortable humidity. We met these horses. They would follow you really quietly until you turned around and realised how close they were. I thought they were going to eat me.
Then we saw these little cuties running by a stream:
And finally some horses that even I’m not afraid of.
Today I’m in London for work, and also for the JP Morgan challenge. There’s been a lot of banter (I vaguely remember telling the boys I’d beat them all during Friday night drinks in February), but now it’s race day everyone is a little quieter….
My legs are a state from Sunday’s midges and last night’s stinging nettles and corn. Typical: the hottest week of the year, I’m in the most fashionable city in the world, and I look like I have the chicken pox.
